Cliff is situated at the heart of the UK, in the beautiful surroundings of Hope Valley, Derbyshire - on the main Manchester to Chesterfield road, between Calver and Baslow. Our nearest city is Sheffield.

Hope Valley is set in the lush surroundings of the Peak District National Park, by the River Derwent and close to Curbar and Froggatt Edges. The country houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are just around the corner.
Surrounding the College are the dales, caves, rivers and historic houses of North Derbyshire. Also within easy reach are adventure/theme parks and plenty of shops, sporting facilities, interesting architecture and historic buildings. Cliff is 5 miles from Bakewell, with Chesterfield and Matlock 10 miles, Sheffield 12 miles, and 15 miles from the M1 Motorway.
Nearby, you can sample the delights of one of England's most vibrant cities - Sheffield. The city is going through a major facelift at present and is a fantastic centre for shopping, recreation, and entertainment facilities. There are two Championship football teams and one of the largest shopping malls in the country.
There are also several large Christian centres (philadelphia, st thomas crookes, hope sheffield/megacentre, fulwood) to explore as well as the host of smaller Christian churches and fellowship.

The college is approximately 1 hour by car from East Midlands airport and 1 and a half hours by car from Manchester airport.
Alternatively, you can travel to Cliff via a train from the Manchester Airport to Manchester Piccadilly and then by train or bus as below.
There is no train station at East Midlands Airport - see airport website for details on getting to Nottingham or Leicester and then by train to Chesterfield or Sheffield.
For flights into London Airports, there are good rail links from all airports to Chesterfield.

The nearest major train stations are Chesterfield and Sheffield .
There are regular services from Manchester Piccadilly and London St Pancras to Chesterfield and Sheffield.
Taxis from Chesterfield or Sheffield train stations to Cliff College cost between £15 and £25.
The nearest local train stop is Grindleford, approximately 3 miles away, although public transport links from this stop are very limited.

By Bus
A number of bus companies stop in Calver or at Cliff Lane, Cliff College - it is best to ask the driver to tell you when you will arrive at Cliff as we are halfway between the villages of Baslow and Calver. The views that you get when traveling by car or bus to Cliff College are fantastic, you are certain to get a good feel for the beauty of the Peak District on your journey here.
