Hope 4 Chesterfield

As we all know, the Hope 2008 initiative is sweeping the country, including Chesterfield. Churches of different denominations are working together. They have been involved in work with youth and young adults, and people have gathered together to prayer walk and worship together and work in the town centre with the clubbers. The whole community of Cliff are going to be involved with Hope4Chesterfield during the period of 7th March- 16th March 2008. The Cliff students and staff are going to work alongside the churches in Chesterfield to assist them on their mission. The Cliff members and volunteers are going to be involved in street work, children’s work, youth work (including high schools work, worship events, relational work, workshops, parties, drop-ins), visiting, nightclub/pub evangelism, visiting new houses on estates, young adults work, prayer meetings, overseas event, café church sessions and helping churches to evaluate where they are and how they can move on through different training sessions in which the tutors of the College will be involved.

The aim of the week is to enable churches to figure out their mission and vision according to their calling and their gifts and abilities. As the churches in Chesterfield are already involved on mission, we will go alongside them to energise them and make an impact in the town.

As Cliff is situated only 20 minutes away from Chesterfield, this will make our involvement more productive, as we can get involved in a more long term capacity.

Join us in prayer as we pray that:

Thank you for all your support and prayers and we will keep you updated.
